Learning to like risking embarrassment is hard but it may be the most important one I wrote about in this thread. But I didn’t learn when I was 5, because there was bigger stuff going on in my life then. Knew I’d rather learn at 29 than 35, so I asked for help. My friend generously sat with me for 2 hours, until I had learned how. The guidance helped. And now I know how to tie my shoes.

To learn, I had to embrace humiliation and lean into it. Same is true in investing, when you want to learn a new style or expand your
of competence.
Sometimes you’ll eat dirt, or need to ask for help.
