Same philosophy, but quite the opposite outcome. Thanks to my student loan, I try to avoid companies with highly leveraged BS. If you think about it, you and I can generate wildly different return in our portfolios despite similar philosophy but different life circumstances.

Yep nice thing about owning stock of leveraged companies is that the debt is nonrecourse to you.

Mortgage I would actually consider in California and a few other states that don’t have deficiency judgments, but yes I do rent.
