Damn, that is a good question. Especially to a Canadian given how our leader comes to power.

Since the Senate has confirmation power for the judicial branch I’d say them. Your vote would ultimately have the most influence on politics over the long run, right?! Though the exec nominates, the obama/garland snafu proves it’s not a sure-thing

This is an amazing thought exercise!!

Would think that if you live in a small state, you’d say senate, and if in a big one, the presidency. Could repeal the 17th amendment, and make it so you could work around the legislature votes, and do that via local officials.

The senate is the answer in today’s environment. House races are too inconsequential, and Presidents will try to do what they will Whether they can or not depends on the senate It is the rate determining legislative entity right now

The Senate also has more equal representation of the rural & urban voters so better solutions to nationwide problems, IMO. Also, supermajority to change anything. A good safeguard against quick change.
