Cable Cowboy is a cool biography but it’s just as much a book about assessing bargaining power.

It was an interesting read but the one chapter about John Malone in "The Outsiders" was a better read than the book. It could have been so much better. There could be a better one coming. No book as covered the Liberty Media + Liberty Global years yet.

Loved Cable Cowboy, but I agree about the Outsiders chapter. One of the best things I've ever read about business.

I thought cable cowboy was a failure. Such a good subject with sooo many fascinating characters but such flat writing and poor storytelling. How could a book w Steve Ross, Brian Roberts, Leo Hindery, Ted Turner, the Dolans, Al Gore etc. as 2ndary characters be so insipid???

One of my favorite books I only read once.
