Just a bump in case anyone missed this near-hour long podcast about markets and all sorts of bizarre shenanigans in my personal life.https://twitter.com/LibertyRPF/status/1243206938894028801 …

Thank you! :) I've read some of Ogilvy's stuff but by no means all. Mostly excerpts I've been shared.

Liz, my wife and I are considering homeschooling. Do you have any thoughts on topics or curriculum that may be interesting? How would you structure a course on copywriting/persuasion? Or a course on games and metagames?

That is a complicated Q, but happy to give it a shot. How old are the kids in question?

Let's say in the 8-14 range - similar to the age where you were learning through video games. We're a ways from that point but love to plan ahead :)

Will come back with more later as I think of them but one thought for metagaming that could work is playing a lot of strategic board games together as a family. Good way to spend time together and, importantly, make learning fun and easier while they internalize through action.

1830: Railroads and Robber Barons is long but could be great for a 13 or 14 year old. There’s Power Grid, Twilight Struggle, anything with great ratings on Board Game Geek. These games train this sort of thinking and you don’t even realize it’s happening.
