Not wanting to look dumb or lose social status is a big inhibitor of so many things, creativity not least of all. If you learn how to take a beating, and make the process fun, personal development becomes quicker and more tolerable.

Yes, agreed! I never used to be submissive but I've learned it's actually really important to be submissive. It's now my default stance in conversation... I like to submit to other people's ideas and see where they lead me. I learn so much this way, whether I agree or not.
