My earliest memories are going out with my grandmother to share root beer popsicles with my pony on our ranch. Everyone in our population 500 town knew each other. Sometimes that was good, sometimes really bad, but it was a sense of community I’ve yet to find elsewhere.

Like it’s really complicated, and cities have their own unique benefits. I’m choosing to live in one right now. But rural areas have their own unique benefits too, and I do feel they are overlooked sometimes by the major metros. Being rural is nothing to be ashamed of!
