Is there a historical example of a story stock being driven up by a promoter, who then issues stock into the teeth of his self created mania thereby transforming the stock into a stable enterprise?
Maybe Singleton? I’m not sure.

I don't really have any. Dan had mentioned that he doesn't short fraud because (a) the people running them are, by definition, good at fraud, and (b) and event (like the stock ripping) can actually stabilize the company. I should have had a more targeted response to your ?
