I'd look for a place that queers frequent. Probably would be more fun to work at and less intimidating to approach. As for legal name, 14th amendment makes the process really easy in every state. Cost two afternoons and ~$100. Much, much easier than updating gender markers.

I’ve hired trans before for my restaurant. Honestly idgaf as long as you are competent. But can’t speak for everyone. You probably want to join a place that welcomes you in any case. Good luck!
