My sister has been driving around all night trying to find a safe place. She's now parked at Pepperdine and says she can't get back into thousand oaks or over the hill to Oxnard. She's trying to sleep now as was up all night by shooting. Tips for where she can go next please?
If she wants to go the long way around, can she take the 405 NB to 101 NB into the valley? I know it's a long ride in a circle, but Taft HS in Woodland Hills is open to shelter. Sorry that I don't know of any other shelters

The Thousand Oaks Community Center at Thousand Oaks High School will open within 5 minutes as an additional emergency shelter. The Teen and Adult Centers are full.
Do you know a place that can house small animals?
Please advise which shelters are open right now. My in-laws are in parking lot on Las Virgines Road near 101.
I know Taft is full but they could probably rest for a bit in that parking lot while searching
Any tips on animal evacuation sites?
I read Pierce College is accepting animals. Not sure if that meant an evacuation site WITH animals though. Worth a shot.
