What’s the science with cloth face masks? When I checked, they can filter up to 300 nm but a COVID particle is 125 NM. Can’t a COVID particle just go through the mask?

Yes, but studies have shown that they are somewhat effective at filtering out the virus. So, theoretically you are breathing less of it into the air for others to breath in. Basically wearing one is just the polite thing to do.
