Dogs can run all night. A dog lost from Boyle Heights was found in San Pedro the next morning. I hope everyone has their dogs chipped and/or have collar and tags.
Not so fun fact:
In 2017, our six @lacitypets shelters took in 823 dogs and cats from 7/2 - 7/6. The loud sounds of fireworks frighten dogs and cats, and if they get out of the house or yard, they run in fear, can't find their way home and end up at our shelters.

Hi Dina, we're just asking for temporary foster care away from the shelter for a few days. Our veterinarians and staff are there to help if you have questions during your time fostering and do send you home with any medicine that the pet is currently receiving at the shelter.
