    Jan 6 Select Committee Chair told reporters this evening that he has signed a new batch of "about 20" subpoenas ready to be sent out. Wouldn't confirm if John Eastman is one of them. And he has "not yet" sent a subpoena to members of Congress

    Sens. Sanders and Menendez have a different proposal for SALT cap than the House. They would keep the $10k cap but exempt people who make less that $400k and possibly less than $550k. Unclear of NJ/NY House Dems support this plan.

    Immigration is very much undecided at this point in the BBB plan. The discussion centers on temporary status and whether to provide federal benefits. Frontliners and progressives are at odds. Frontliners don’t want to vote on something that might not become law.

    On 4 weeks paid leave being added to the BBB plan… Source says it’s a House version of the bill. They are adding it regardless of what Manchin says. Unclear if it will survive the Senate.

    Manchin didn’t say anything new. But the tone and timing of his press conference is notable as talks are close to being wrapped up and sends a strong message of defiance.
