  8. Sens. Sanders and Menendez have a different proposal for SALT cap than the House. They would keep the $10k cap but exempt people who make less that $400k and possibly less than $550k. Unclear of NJ/NY House Dems support this plan.

    The idea that the house and senate will prenegotiate the trillion-dollar BBB bill is all but dead. House going its way, senate will be forced to respond.

  13. Immigration is very much undecided at this point in the BBB plan. The discussion centers on temporary status and whether to provide federal benefits. Frontliners and progressives are at odds. Frontliners don’t want to vote on something that might not become law.

  14. On 4 weeks paid leave being added to the BBB plan… Source says it’s a House version of the bill. They are adding it regardless of what Manchin says. Unclear if it will survive the Senate.

    Dems in… array? Progressives on Twitter, the White House via statement, Jayapal on CNN and now Mark Warner on MSNBC, all saying the same thing re: Manchin- he’s been saying this for months, it’s fine. We will get it done this week.
