    In 2018, his body was located, and had to go through extensive DNA laboratory testing. 77 years later, his body was flown into LAX, where a procession was held on the 405 freeway all the way to his final resting location in Westwood. 🇺🇸💔

    FFs, camp crews & overhead personnel continue to assist our neighboring fire agencies battling multiple major wildfires in Northern CA & here locally in Kern County. Also, dispatchers continue to staff Region I at our 9-1-1 LACC to assist w/mutual aid requests.

    Last night, QRF program (joint venture between OCFA, , & ) aircraft made the first night retardant drop with a helitanker in history. The video is a QRF helitanker hover filling the first load of retardant from a QRF Mobile Retardant Base (MRB). History again!
