Would you call those features necessities for your enjoyment of a game? Any game? I'm curious.

More like niceties. They don’t make the game good, but they can make it better, just because they serve as proof that someone wanted finer detail in the game.
-
Do you think they should ideally apply to any game? For example, in Super Mario Odyssey, there's no longer fall damage, and it's not due to a lack of attention.
-
It doesn’t ‘damage’ you, no, but if you don’t land correctly, it does cause you to be incapable of moving for a bit. But, you are right in the sense that in some games, it’s a choice that makes sense to leave out, but then those games provide logic to it (yer a superhero, Harry)

I see. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

what about "Does this snow leave footprints?"
-
Another good one, related to many other foot-checks like “does walking on gravel/grass/wood sound different?” And “can I be barefoot?”

Will I die if I jump into this bottomless pit or is it an invisible wall?
-
Also a good way to see how far you can fall before you flail your limbs/scream

The most important to me is if I can double jump
-
Fairly unique to platformer tests, but yeah. A true double jump, not that jump and tumble stuff.

I always try what happens if i wildly spin the control stick in a circle. If the character gets dizzy, the game is 10/10
-
Nice one, can confirm it works in super Mario party (team mode)

Is there a fishing mini game?
-
I’d settle for at least being able to pet dogs
