any other pre-2014 invader zim fans feel like the fandom is alive in the worst way possible like really disconnected from the original show

as someone who was a hardcore fan and participated in fandom spaces around 2010-2011 a million times yes!! everything in the fandom is so detached from the source material that it just feels like 100 percent gross ships and nothing else. nothing is in character and it's so BORING
