Its funny to think how the only reason Lucas was included in Brawl was because Sakurai thought Mother 3 would release worldwide

Actually! Lucas was added in because Mother 3 was a recent release and popular game in japan at the moment. Ness was left in to appeal to the American audience. He was also supposed to replace Ness entirely in Melee, but didn’t succeed since Mother 3 was canceled.
