I dont really like how I just fly away the ledge at certain angles when recovering. I experience that way too often and it just irks me. I know I can just bonk and try a different angle but still. Pretty sure i've heard others experience the grab thing too but I can't really say
In Brawl if you did not snap to the ledge you’d just ricochet off and lose the stock. Ultimate is so much more generous about inputting a 2nd PKT2 than 4 was because you were only going to survive on a stage with a wall. You have a much larger window to input it now

Yeah I know. I've both seen and had that happen to me in Brawl. And I know that the window for PKT2 is generous compared to Sm4sh. Doesn't really excuse the interactions it has with ledge and slopes in general.
