I think a lot of players want success without the struggle. They don’t want the trial and error that comes with improving and just want to win and that’s the problem: you can’t focus on winning. You have to focus on the journey in order for you to reach the finish line
I know there’s nothing worse than going to your first OOS major and going 0-2. It’s rough and can make you wonder if you’ve really improved but what you need to focus on is the experience that you’re getting by doing so. Forget about how well you performed; what did you learn?
I’m not saying you shouldn’t care at ALL about how you placed. But put more energy into how much you learned from the set that you lost. Will you make the same mistakes again? Is it an MU that you struggle with? Why? Do you know someone who plays that character and can teach you?
