I think my issue with him is just as any other swordie. He has good range, deals damage, and is just overall really annoying to fight

Lucas mains; do any of y’all struggle with Link? If so, have you figured out a method that works for you? I have a lot of trouble with this MU and I’m curious if I’m the only one

Link and Lucas were my mains all through brawl and sometimes I still think of taking him up again, he’s just really different. A lot better but different

Work your way in, shield, hop, find his pattern for projectiles and then get in. He’s laggy, so he can’t really keep us away AND he can barely punish us. Edge guard him. He should NEVER make it back without some form of edge guard on our part. Don’t worry about getting [1/2]

Massive damaging combos, our hit and run game WILL do more damage over all because of PK fire and our juggle game being great. Don’t try to up air him too much, but rather bait out a move from below him and then fair him. Unless you can get an up air string started

I have to play him in a range outside of my comfort zone. If I get completely in his face, I do anything unsafe I get hit really hard. I camp, I get bombarded by projectiles I can't punish. I have to be right outside of his sword range and bait things, but...

Yes, a lot too and same goes with Snake. With Link I always just try and battle aggressively and up close because the distance allows Link to camp a bit. That strategy isn’t always viable however ;(
