I've never seen people this salty about Lucas. Has he, and sometimes Ness, always been treated this badly in the Smash Bros community?

Yeah, especially in Ultimate now that they got buffed, and the argument is always involved with PK FIRE spam.

That's understandable. I'm not much of an online player, so I didn't know much around this, but I was fully aware of the PK FIRE spam.

I understand as well, it's just that people assume every Ness/Lucas mains spam PK Fire because of online. I hope tournaments with people like Kyoto can prove them wrong

Hopefully. I know that people have done a lot with Lucas and Ness other than fire spamming. If Kyoto and others can prove that, then let's hope people will at least not say their fire spamming arguments nearly as much as they have before.
