Lucas has decent tools but he hella gets out ranked by everyone above him, and generally is a lot worse than he was in 4. He has no shield pressure which his grab was in 4 so now he’s basically a weirder/poor man’s fox Diddy can press some buttons, but he isn’t insane like 4
Lucas has some great ledge guarding tools but he loses hard to anything with a sword and plenty of other match ups to, especially Olimar. It isn’t that he’s bad he just could be so much better and the flaws he does have put so many characters above him

He really struggles against stuff like fox from before still and honestly he’s still the cp char he was in 4, but worse His grab mad carried him from 4 tbh, now people just shield him and he either stales his grab or kills at like 140 which is fine but ehh
