It's DEFINITELY not his make or break, but you know for suuree he'd be alot better with a down throw kinda like smash 4.
He doesn’t have footstool combos anymore though. Which is why I feel like it’s kind of a moot point

Not really, smash 4 Lucas didn't thrive off of footstool combos most of the time, but being able to do like 40% out of a grab is way better than just getting a throw as a reward and thats it :/

Even without footstools, he gets down throw into an aerial or 2 as a true combo
