everyone is basically screaming about how "underrated" mother 1 is even though its now being circlejerked for being this "underrated masterpiece" or smth

I don’t necessarily think it’s underrated but it isn’t “horrible”. It did not age as well as Mother 2, that much is true, but it does have its redeeming qualities and overall the Mother series wouldn’t really be the same without it.
