I think M would be more suitable as long as nothing is changed. If they watered it down a bit T would work fine

This is a T rated game with themes and humor that is just more culturally accepted in Japan than overseas. It’s also tricky when such a colorful game hide such mature themes. To localize and acclimate Mother 3 to Nintendo’s standards today would change much of the game...

I truly feel it couldn’t get by with a T rating as it stands. Definitely M though. There are some pretty dark themes in the game and at one end, I don’t blame Nintendo for not localizing it. On the other, it was never a kiddy game. Why make it one now?

tbh I'm more surprised that everyone else seems surprised by this. It is what it is. If they wanna release it then they'll figure it out. Nintendo, especially outside of Japan, has shown themselves to be a bit more open to adult-focused content lately.

A good old Pegi 12 on the box should do it. I mean Earthbound is already Pegi 12 and i've seen nintendo games with higher ratings (like other m) and nobody cared too much.
