Honestly I would say don't take char suggestions and play who you love playing, other than Lucas. Im pretty much doing the same with Poketrainer and Greninja
I want to drop Lucas for a week or two and go back to him with a better perspective and understanding of fundamentals. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m thinking Pit or maybe Lucina.

I don’t play anyone but Lucas. Sometimes Ness and Young Link. That’s the issue.

Playing a bunch of characters really helps Play a campy character, play a rush down, bait and punish, projectile, etc It's hard for me to explain, but I feel like Dr Mario is a good substitute character to learn stuff about Lucas. Pits, palutena, Rob, Mario, wario work as well

I’d say play anyone and everyone. Each character offers a “different” lesson to teach. That’s how I learned smash 4 and practice ultimate. Just make sure to play each character for a good amount of time
