I go into every match knowing that I’ll come out a better player than I went in, win or lose. I just want to hear what different methods some of you may have to ease the anxiety DURING the match. The feeling of a dozen eyes on me is what causes me to freeze up.

I once over heard the answer is to consistently go to tournaments. Go travel. Learn every match up. Then you'll be used to it. Then again even big players still get anxiety if it's that bad for the individual. Then it's a mental battle.

This is so easy for someone who isn’t working in management and working 40 hours a week.

After ever stock loss, and kill I take a deeeeeeeep breath, get my mind back together and continue. Same thing between games. Between sets I go get me some water, drink, think about how I should fight my next opponent and do my best

When I was playing karna that was the most nervous I have ever been but inbetween games 2-3 I repeatedly told myself that “he’s just any other player” it helped me keep my motivation and not get as anxious when playing. Besides that remember to take deep breaths and drink water!

listen to music that puts you in a familiar place, chew gum during your set, before do stretches/breathing exercises, and anything personal that eases your anxiety but those are kinda general

Drink lots of water! Have conversations with yourself, and remember it’s not worth it if you’re not having a good time! Lighten the atmosphere and focus first and foremost on learning from mistakes rather than a W
