As soon as I read nephew I had so many questions.
I made some offhanded comment about hating how I looked in front of my nephew, and he looked at me and said "just because you would change parts of something doesn't mean you can't love it" And I was like wow, making up this story about a fake kid really changed my perspective

Do I correct people's grammar? Or do I talk about the parts of language that excite and fascinate me? Etymology, dialects, accents, the interplays therein? Language is communication. If you understood what I was trying to say, I succeeded.
