This is where a good portion of my mind is headed, tempered with the need to stay in the moment and acknowledge that things are indeed challenging for so many.

And something about that just feels off. It feels too early still. Or maybe tamper the enthusiasm with a hint of realism - or acknowledge the necessity of change that is being created by collective pain. But somehow just embracing opportunity feels off. 2/2

i think we do need to accept that there is an enormous challenge and pain ahead, fight against the tragedy of death, and at the same time recognize that we are in this because of a broken system, and if we succeed, we can, truly, build a better world

I don't really get this 'it's too early' concept. It presumes a synchronisation of time that I don't recognise. Some of us started thinking about the opportunities amid collapse decades ago, some haven't started yet.

What bothers me is people using this specific pandemic as an opportunity to push their own agenda. There’s people saying “look at how glorious this is! Things are going to be so different! What an opportunity!! REMOTE WORK!” while families are having to 1/2
