Why isn't there a speech bubble from the sandwich lizard saying "it's a living..."?

I actually owned this as a kid. His head would extend revealing a large set of teeth to chomp down on that sandwich. It’s rather grotesque looking back on it lol, seems like it fit better as a weird ghostbusters ghost toy
