Kwasi, Which “energy” industry are you talking about? - liquid (petrol, diesel), Gas (Natural, Bio, LPG, LNG) or the secondary energies - Electricity, solar, compressive? If it is elec generation you might what to understand and recognise the role of gas in elec generation
