LGBTQIA+ folks: what’s something a teacher or professor has said or done to make you feel safe existing in their classroom? Or, what’s something you wish a teacher/professor had said/done to make you feel safe?

Cognitive dissonance: having little time for regular exercise because you're too busy studying about the health benefits of regular exercise

Highlighting the crucial importance of boot-leather epidemiology, a paper claiming asymptomatic transmission was wrong because “researchers didn’t actually speak to the woman before they published the paper.” Apparently she was already sick 👇🏼

This is awesome! I can't help but think of all of the perfect circumstances that a person must have to be able to participate in the caucus, from our very young to our seniors.

Weight =/= Health Weight =/= Behaviour Focusing on Weight =/= Better Care Let's put a pause on trying to change weight and push play on what can really improve health or wellbeing for the person in front of you.

Every day is different, and these days are relatively few for me, but it's so nice to hear others have the same experiences in teaching. Thank you for sharing!!

Think about this: — Iowa is 90.7% white — Iowa is now the only state with a lifetime voting ban for people with a felony conviction — Black people make up 4% of Iowa's population but 26% of its prison population How is this representative of our electorate?

I'm surprised to find that these caucuses are really ableist (beyond not being representative). News is covering gyms where people have to either stand or sit on the floor. This goes on for hours!

RE: Trump's disgusting expansion of travel ban. Nigerian immigrants are the SECOND most educated ethnic group in US (Jews are #1). They outperform native whites by 200%. 37% Bachelor's 17% Master's 4% PhD This is an attempt to destroy our most successful group of immigrants.

It never fails me to stun me when I encounter someone who truly believes that a woman is owned/the responsibility of/the burden of/the property of her father, brother, or husband. It runs so deep sometimes people don’t even realize that’s what they’re insinuating.
