Not to mention, I find it increasingly possibly to not see these platforms around in the upcoming decades due to the unfairness and non transparency of the companies. Making the content creators who bring in audiences slowly disperse better platforms or just ending their career.

Now I do believe even if a surge of content creators move to other platforms, Twitch will be able to run for a long due to all that Amazon money coming in day after day. YouTube on the other hand, I feel like it's already a lost cause.

I have a feeling that within the upcoming years, YouTube will have a similar fate as Gamestop where they will slowly outgrow there phase of content creators in terms of YouTube and Games in terms of Gamestop and branch onto new content such as TV shows which we have seen already.

Idk just some thoughts after thinking about what the move from
@Twitch to@WatchMixer means for@Ninja and how it can affect things on a much larger scale creating more competition and possibly even a surge of new platforms that content can be uploaded or streamed onto.Show this thread -
To add onto this, and because the only game I ever know how to talk about is WoW, back in 2004 when the game was made it was made by gamers people who probably didn't have the highest level of development skills when it came to games and certainly were not worried about each dime

It would be interesting if seeing a change in the leadership positions of these companies could change how things are ran by having someone who cares more about the platform and content creators than 50 extra dollars in there wallet at the end of the week

Now with a day in age that we live in, 2019 and everyone is trying to nab every dollar they can I see this to be highly unlikely to happen but it is interesting to think about.

At the end of the day, I want to see YouTube, Twitch, Mixer and whatever other platforms succeded but key issues like transparency and more importantly content creators over advertisers need to be addressed. These platforms are only going to survive with content creators.

Without content creators you don't have an audience anymore. No audience means that no one is viewing the ads on the platform nor subscribing to any kind of content which means no money. A slow domino effect that has been going on for years now and will soon come crashing down.
