recently bought super Metroid CIB at a show. While in REALLY good condition, it looked totally legit as far as print quality. Later I noticed it didn't have that old card board smell. Everyone of my other boxed games has it. Is this a reliable way to spot a reproduced box?

Other than bad print jobs or the wrong kind of cardboard used how is a collectors to tell? How big is the issue with reprint boxes?

Inside color of the box is actually something a lot of people don’t look for. Most if not all old boxes will have a brown cardboard interior, lots of repros have a white interior
