    300 priests raped 1000 girls and boys — in America. Q: Why isn’t this on the front page of every US newspaper? A: Privilege. Now imagine how news outlets would react if the priests were Muslim imams. This is a textbook case of a double standard.

    I know this front page image so well. It is imprinted in my psyche from having lived for years in New Delhi as a student at and then working in Anantapur (Andra Pradesh), one of the most drought- and farmer-suicide prone parts of India, in the last few years.

    Perhaps because CEO to worker pay scale ratio should be more than 1000. Or because CEO works thousand times more in one hour than one worker.

    Walmart’s CEO Doug McMillon made about $11,000/hour in compensation last year. I'd like to hear from him why he thinks his workers don't deserve to be paid a living wage of $15/hour.

    I am red in fury and fear. Like the burning Siberia. We don’t want the carbon buried in permafrost melting. No four letter word would do justice to how bad this is. Year after year. Takes my sleep away as a scientist and earthling.

    Of all the crazy heat we're seeing around the world right now, the 90+ temps in Siberia may be the weirdest and most damaging. "Permafrost" may turn out to be a fateful misnomer.

    Another one you shouldn't miss: EPA to wear blinders, ignoring 68Million pounds of toxic chemical pollution when evaluating chemical risk, including 21Million pounds of asbestos fibers. More than ridiculous, this decision is shameful, outrageous.
