The problem is that elderly people are getting left behind! My 80+ parents in Montgomery County, Maryland, are still not vaccinated, but many teachers are.
28 states plus DC are now allowing teachers to receive Covid-19 vaccines States where all or some teachers are eligible: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, DE, HI, ID, IL, IA, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, NE, NV, NY, ND, OH, OR, PA, TN, UT, VA, WV, WY & DC

But the public is not demanding that your parent spend their day in a room full of people, 5 days a week. I think 65+ should be 1st, but that means we also keep schools that dont have the space, resources or staff to open, closed longer. We can’t get everything at the same time.

Important to note that in PR teachers have been getting the vaccines for weeks now. Basically all teachers now got it.
