Systematic profiling and dismissal of our children runs deep. Autism predominately affect males. Another card stacked against the black male at an early age.
Autism affects people of all races but Black and Latino children are diagnosed at older ages than white children, resulting in less opportunity for intervention and treatment.

Another doctor other than my sons primary care gave him a referral for early intervention. She kept telling me he was fine. I didn’t believe that so I told any doctor who would listen. My baby is 16 now and looking forward to college
