Great observation Kristen. I totally agree with your statement. Many laws that protect our cyberspace are antiquated and outdated due to the hyper rapid advances in technology. I M sure their are troves of these laws that need revisiting and updating.
The US Communications Decency Act of 1996, Sec 230, allows the internet to be a safe haven for Russian propaganda war machines. This outdated law immunizes social media platforms from liability for the content published by third parties.
