HHS is led by Roger Severino -- a radical anti-LGBTQ activist who has dedicated his career to obstructing women’s and LGBT people's access to health care. Today's move will result in the politicization of health care to the detriment of women, LGBTQ and poor people.
The “conscience protections” seem to extend beyond religion — health care workers can refuse to provide care if they “object” to it or to the person they are providing the care to. This undermines the ethical responsibilities we have to our patients. Care is care.
