There is a reason why we see longer early voting lines in communities of color. In Queens, NY -- 1 location for every 72K voters. The good news is NYC does not matter at all for the presidential elections. Plus, this time it is super easy to vote early and vote via an absentee ballot. So there is no reason to stand in line on Nov 3 in NYC. None.

Doesn’t state law cap the number of required early voting sites at 7 per county?

We all have no idea what’s going to happen in 2020, but in 2019, early voting was very underutilized in NY. There were ~60K early voters in NYC total - and in Queens, there was a average of fewer than 1,000 per site. Note that in ‘19, Manhattan had fewer sites than Queens.pic.twitter.com/nhP9CQN8NW
