There've been 29 cases a supreme court was nominated during election year. In 24 of those cases there was no issue. In 5 there was-the only time that people waited was when the Senate & POTUS were different parties. Other 24 cases when they were same party- Not an issue
No Supreme Court nominee has EVER been confirmed while voters were actively casting ballots in a general election. Amy Coney Barrett's nomination could not be more politicized.
