This tweet scrolled by while I'm talking to my wife about the census. My wife is an official enumerator and her biggest problem with the people she contacts is that they are very suspicious of the government. All of her contacts are in low income housing in NW Florida.
We must ensure our communities are FULLY counted in the #2020Census. Federal funding & fair maps are on the line.
As of 8/26, these states have very low response rates:
LA 72%

AL 70%
MS 69.6%
NC 69.6%
AZ 68.8%
GA 68.7%
SC 68.5%
NM 65.5%

All states on the list are red. Since trump became president, he and his admin have been intimidating low income, minorities and undocumented people. He doesn't want them counted. It's no surprise these people can't trust trump's government.
