It’s so bad. These so called “fiscal conservatives” just drunkenly blowing through millions of Tennessee tax payer dollars for ideological agendas. This makes something like half a dozen costly legal losses Governor Lee has signed on to. He’s only half way through his first term.
Unconstitutional and they know that! But it may work as a tactic because it may not be resolved by court(s) in time for some people to vote in November. Shameful.
Did read it. Law should have been specific to real crimes committed (breaking into buildings, starting fires, physical assaults). Camping, disrupting a meeting, verbally abusing an official should not be a felony - law also says person can be HELD UP TO 12 hours with NO bond.
If other states’ legislators take up this extremely suppressive measure, it would be very problematic. People must be informed. Young people need to be aware. Please spread the word!
