Voting is important but don’t vote for something that we know is not right or good. We can skip that box. @BlackVotersMtrpic.twitter.com/8HTRuw46xI
Yup, voting is important. Not clear if u encourage / discourage voting. BUT really hoping you encouraging black ppl who STILL fighting for equal/fair voting rights to vote at minimum in interest of self & community (family, racial, ethnic, social, ancestral indebtedness). #Vote
And how can we vote for someone or something we really know nothing about? Skip that box too. @NatAmericanVotepic.twitter.com/dB3EEGHSle
Agree. I voted when I was a reporter, but I did keep my views private until I left the profession. I’ve heard this sentiment from journalists before, but never from black ones. The franchise is too sacred to civic-minded blacks. Thoughts @emarvelous?
if your taking a moral stance against participating in society cuz your a "neutral journalist" then i expect laws not to matter to you, that you should always follow the law regardless of if you're morally opposed to it is an intensely political stance.
