I read the article and I don’t see what rule he didn’t follow. I only see that most officers give a statement, not that it’s required. Maybe it is? Either way, he can rot in hell. Not caping for him.

Indeed. Much as I would love to see him try to answer "why didn't you knock? Why didn't you announce you were police? Why didn't you give her a chance to put her weapon down?" he has the right to keep quiet. As a defense attorney I would advise him to keep quiet.

It is probably his lawyer telling him not to say anything, that is the golden rule, never speak to police. I think he is guilty AF, but he still deserves the right to a fair trial.
