The Death Penalty disproportionately impacts MINORITIES (black men), as well, does it not? There's LOTS of arguments AGAINST it. Like, it's MORE costly than Life in Prison (after all the court appeals, etc.)
DOJ reinstituting use of the death penalty. In a 2015 study, 71% said there was some risk of an innocent person being put to death and 61% said that the death penalty does not deter serious crime.
