Today (July 1) is the day the Census Bureau says they must begin printing questionnaires. For printing to start on time and as the Census Bureau has contracted, it CAN'T include a citizenship question. The Census Act sets April 1, 2010 as date of the count Let's get on with it.

There are some details no one reports on. Is this the deadline to start printing the short form? Isn't the question in question on the long form only? So what is behind my questions is, are they shell-gaming us with this deadline? (I.e., is the administration lying?)
