This is horrible. My father, a poor Black kid from Harlem attended Stuyvesant in the 50's. Went to City College because he couldn't afford Dartmouth when he got in and became a chemist. How many thousands of smart Black kids are being denied the same opportunity?
The sad fact is NY is the only school district in the NATION using a single ~50 math and 50 english multiple-choice as the SOLE measure of a 12 yro's academic merit. @NYSenDems are doing nothing on the issue because it may affect their voting block. @AndreaSCousins @LiuNewYork
