If we want to fix the system, then we (the Democrats) should return to regular order and repeal the nuclear option that we ourselves instituted as soon as we have the power (in the form of a majority) to do so. We broke this, it’s our responsibility to fix it.

It is not an ‘us vs. them’. If it is, then that is a failure of the democratic system in the US on the whole. Defining a country, by what color they align with no less,is fundamentally incorrrect in the same way our society is.
