It's not just the documents. It's that a President at risk of being indicted is naming a potential justice who is committed in advance to disallowing the indictment. Why should an unindicted co-consipirator be allowed to select the judge who determines his fate?

I don't know the rules but I believe if all non-Republican parties simply do not show up. Do not participate. If they all just stand on the stairs of the Capitol building in protest, I believe that would shut down the House and Senate.
